Notes on wine and vinification:
“Dru” is a red wine made from Freisa grapes; this ancient variety was typical of the vineyards in Cortandone where Alberto, the winemaker, was born.
Dru wants to bring these grapes back to life and pay them the tribute they deserve.
The grapes after harvest macerate for about 20 days. Affinage takes place in stainless steel for 10 months and then an additional 4 months in bottle before release.
