Tenuta Foresto are young vignerons from Nizza Monferrato in the heart of the UNESCO site of Piedmont region. They finally made their dream come true and created a place where they can grow their own grapes and make their own wine.
The vineyards are hand-grown and the grapes that they get are simply escorted to the cellar, without the aid of any additive.
In the farm they search for a holistic approach, in order to create an ecosystem that allow them to have a low impact on the environment.
The main grapes cultivated are Barbera, Moscato, Cortese and Chardonnay.
The age of the vines vary form ten to seventy years of age and are mostly exposed south to south-west.
Their inspiration comes surely from the local winemaking tradition and they experiment with some maceration and fermentation in bottle. This can lead to some carbonation is some wines which is meant to preserve the wine.
